About
Merriam Webster Dictionary defines blurb as ” a short description that praises something (such as a book) so that people will want to buy it.” I am hoping that wineblurbs will help readers to love wine as much as I do.
I have been intrigued by wine for as long as I can remember. I decided to really delve into the world of wine in 2001 when I opened a wine boutique in Rochester, NY. I had taken many wine courses: Windows on the World Wine Class with Kevin Zraly; Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Intermediate Level Class and a number of others. I was hooked and needed to find a way to taste as much wine as possible (without going broke) and learn as much as I could about it. I ran the business from 2001-2010. I sold Wine Sense in August, 2010.
I miss the store very much and need to keep “fresh” on the world of wine. I decided wineblurbs.com would help me to continue my wine journey. I often run into people who used to shop at my store and they ask me what is good that I have tasted lately. I will try to share blurbs on some of the wines I drink and the foods I pair them with…hopefully some readers will do the same!
